It’s not a surprise that Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has become a must-start in fantasy leagues. The team gave him a big vote of confidence when they shipped Stefon Diggs to the Bills in the offseason. With one of the draft picks they got for Diggs, Minnesota took Justin Jefferson in the first round to replace him. The question for fantasy owners is whether or not Jefferson can be a viable option for lineups this season, even this week.
Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings WRs Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson
Thielen caught six passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns as the Vikings played an unsuccessful game of catchup against the Packers last week. He’s in line for another productive day this week when they take on the Colts.
Despite his lofty draft status, Jefferson is still the team’s third receiver. He caught two passes for 26 yards last week. Bisi Johnson has a tight grip on the second receiver spot, and with Thielen still getting the majority of work, it’s going to be awhile before Jefferson ascends to a viable fantasy option.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Adam Thielen. Sit Justin Jefferson.
