What to do with Drew Lock in Week 2 fantasy football

The Broncos QB doesn’t look like a “lock” for fantasy lineups this week.

Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock has a world of expectations riding on his arm. In his second year as the team’s franchise quarterback, the Broncos have surrounded him with all the tools a young signal caller needs to succeed, from a tough offensive line to a quiver full of skill players. That’s good news for fantasy football too, but this week’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers might not be the week you want him in your lineups.

Fantasy Football analysis: Broncos QB Drew Lock

Lock had a decent outing last week against the Titans, throwing for 216 yards and a touchdown. The problem in that game was mostly that the Broncos were without their top two receivers, Courtland Sutton and KJ Hamler.

This week’s outlook is a little better. Hamler will be back in action, but Sutton’s going to be a game-time decision as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury. That’s going to make things tough on Lock, because even if Sutton does play, he could still be stuck in limited duty. And this is a road game against a tough opponent. Lock should have a fine season, but he’s best avoided in fantasy this week.
