What to do with Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp in Week 2 fantasy football

Both receivers signed contract extensions recently, so this duo should be the focal point of the Rams’ passing game for years.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods began the season on a high note in Sunday’s 20-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to the second game of 2019, he was rewarded and signed a four-year extension with the Rams. Cooper Kupp didn’t have quite the day Woods did, but he will have better performances throughout the season. He also signed an extension for three years prior to the first game. This duo should be the focal point of the Los Angeles passing game for years to come.

Fantasy Football analysis: Rams WRs Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp

Woods led all receivers with 105 yards on six receptions, and he was targeted eight times by quarterback Jared Goff, while Kupp caught four balls for 40 yards. Los Angeles ran the ball quite a bit with Malcolm Brown and Cam Akers receiving 32 combined carries with Goff throwing the ball 31 times.

We’ll see what the game plan is moving forward for Sean McVay’s offense, but it should be assumed Kupp and Woods will see plenty of passes thrown their way throughout the 2020 season.

In the Rams’ Week 2 matchup, they will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles, which allowed just 178 passing yards for the Washington Football Team as Dwayne Haskins completed 17 of 31 yards. Terry McLaurin was the leading receiver with 61 yards on five catches.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Both players should be in fantasy lineups on Sunday. Woods is flirting with wide receiver No. 1 status, while Kupp is firmly in the wide receiver No. 2 conversation.
