What to do with Daniel Jones in Week 2 fantasy football

Mistakes continue to haunt Daniel Jones, but can the Giants QB eliminate those errors against the Bears?

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Giants Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Daniel Jones and the Giants returned to 2019 form in Week 1, falling victim to Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers by a score of 26-16. The 10-point loss could’ve had a much different ending if New York’s offense had converted on a goal line visit late in the third quarter. But instead, Jones threw his second interception of the game and that was that.

Fantasy Football analysis: Giants QB Daniel Jones

Danny Dimes was towards the bottom of the QB pack in Week 1 for fantasy, finishing with 279 yards, two TDs, and, as mentioned, 2 INTs. We should definitely cut him some slack as we know this Pittsburgh defense is one of the strongest in the league. Jones will be thrown up against another tough defense in the Chicago Bears in Week 2, but he should have a bit more breathing room this time around. The chemistry with his receivers was apparent, completing six passes apiece to Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, and Saquon Barkley. And with Evan Engram healthy (reeling in two of seven targets), all signs point to a number of big fantasy games for Daniel Jones.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Sit - the Daniel Jones payoff will come, but there are better matchups for other QBs this week.
