What to do with Jimmy Garoppolo in Week 2 fantasy football

Jimmy Garoppolo could get upgrades at wide receiver ahead of his Week 2 matchup against the Jets.

The San Francisco 49ers were unexpectedly upset by the Arizona Cardinals in their season opener on Sunday. San Francisco entered the game dealing with a slew of injuries at wide receiver, but Jimmy Garoppolo still managed to post a solid stat line. We’ll go over his Fantasy Football potential for his Week 2 matchup against the New York Jets here.

Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo

Garoppolo threw for 259 yards and two scores against the Cardinals, but 76 of his passing yards came on a short pass Raheem Mostert took to the house. He won’t be able to count on that every week, but he should have an easier time gaining momentum against a Jets team that forked up 312 passing yards to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. The 49ers have signed Mohamed Sanu and could get Brandon Aiyuk active for the firs time this year against the Jets. Improvements out wide could produce at a high level alongside George Kittle.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Garoppolo could have a monster game against the Jets. He’s worth a start in season fantasy and DFS.
