The Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets will meet in the second round of the 2020 NBA Playoffs in a star-studded matchup with plenty of narrative. We’ve got LeBron James and Anthony Davis vs. James Harden and Russell Westbrook for a trip to the Western Conference Finals. Harden is still chasing the elusive title and LeBron is looking to get AD his first after missing the postseason in 2018-19.
The Lakers dropped the first game to the Portland Trail Blazers in Round 1 but things fell apart for Portland. The Blazers lost Damian Lillard in Game 4 and the Lakers won four straight to win the series 4-1. The Rockets were looking like an easy pick to advance after the first two games, both wins without Westbrook. After losing two to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston managed to hold off the Thunder to win Game 7 and advance.
