On the main card for UFC Vegas 11 this Saturday will be two ranked light heavyweights as #11 Johnny Walker faces #12 Ryan Spann at UFC Apex in Las Vegas and on ESPN+.

Walker will look to enter the octagon and avenge his last two fights, dropping bouts to #9 Nikita Krylov and Corey Anderson. With a 17-5 record and 14 KO/TKO’s, Walker does have a victory over #10 Misha Cirkunov. He’s an extremely active boxer that lands 70 percent of his strikes, notching 4.01 significant strikes per minute. He absorbs 3.58 per minute and has a 30% defense rate.

His opponent Ryan Spann will enter with a similar record at 18-5. He’s on an eight-match win streak, with the last four coming in the past two years and all in the UFC. He looks to get on the mat as 11 of his 18 victories have come via submission with a 1.13 takedown average per 15 minutes.

This bout will favor Spann if he can make it mainly grappling, but Walker enters as the favorite to win.

In a battle of two pretty equal fighters, Spann’s mat-based talent and Walker’s punching might make for not a tremendous amount of action early. This might be one to avoid for DFS purposes unless you can find a quick finish early, but it should a good one for fans.
