Best Week 2 daily fantasy football wide receiver plays over $5000

Davante Adams’ Week 1 performance makes us think he could continue to dominate against the Lions in Week 2.

Wide receivers are thriving in 2020. There were 13 receivers who eclipsed 100 receiving yards in Week 1, and several of them were big time names. Having a pricey receiver bust can set you back quite a bit in DFS, and we’ve identified some options worth paying more than $6,000 at DraftKings in Week 2.

Davante Adams ($8,100), Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions

Adams’ price has risen significantly since he scored for DKFP (44.6) than any player in the NFL in Week 1. Aaron Rodgers connected with the wideout 14 times on 16 targets for 156 yards and two scores. He’s sure to remain a focal point against the Detroit Lions, who are dealing with a slew of injuries in their secondary.

Adam Thielen ($7,200), Minnesota Vikings vs. Indianapolis Colts

Thielen got the best of Jaire Alexander in Week 1 and exploded with six receptions for 110 yards and two scores. The Colts don’t have a defensive back who can compare to Alexander and allowed Gardner Minshew III to throw for three touchdowns on 20 passing attempts in their season opener. Kirk Cousins and the Vikings are looking to be more aggressive through the air and could get going against an Indianapolis team that needs to get organized.

Marquise Brown ($6,200), Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans

This speedster got off to a phenomenal Week 1 for a second year in a row on Sunday. he hauled in five passes for 101 yards. He didn’t reach the end zone, but has an advantage against the Texans’ weak secondary in Week 2. Brown and Mark Andrews are bound to get most of Lamar Jackson’s passes. Brown’s speed gives him more potential to make home run plays though.
