UPDATE 9/19: NFL teams released their final injury reports for Week 2. Here are final statuses for names of note.
George Kittle: Out
Jack Doyle: Out
UPDATE 9/18: We’ve got two significant tight end injuries this week that could impact the rankings.
George Kittle played through a broken ankle bone last season, so there’s a good chance he tries to play through his knee injury this week. But, he doesn’t look like he’ll practice and they do have Jordan Reed backing him up. Im knocking Kittle down a few spots for now and giving Reed a boost.
Jack Doyle hasn’t practiced this week with an ankle injury. There hasn’t been much news on the severity yet, but I’m giving Mo Alie-Cox a boost in this update and knocking Doyle down a few notches.
Your tight end leaders in non-PPR for Week 1 go as follows, Mark Andrews, Dallas Goedert, Noah Fant, Travis Kelce, and T.J. Hockenson. Goedert ended up as the only tight end to top 100 yards while Mark Andrews was the only one to score more than one touchdown.
Goedert topped Zach Ertz in Week 1, but Ertz still played a bigger percentage of snaps and saw seven targets to Goedert’s nine. Goedert could hurt Ertz’s fantasy upside this season, but both are viable fantasy plays each week.
Mark Andrews saw a big uptick in snaps from his average last season, which is a great sign for his continued consistency. He only had five targets, but tLamar Jackson and the Ravens offense didn’t lose any of their extreme efficiency to start this season with Andrews’ two touchdowns. If teams can play them closer, we could see some big target numbers and yardage for Andrews, but in these blowouts, we’ll likely see more touchdown efficiency.

Logan Thomas, Washington
Thomas was a huge part of The Football Team’s offense, as he saw saw the second-most targets and third most air yards out of any tight end in Week 1. He was only able to catch four for 37 yards, but he also found the end zone.
Jimmy Graham, Bears
Graham isn’t going to run by anyone at this point in his career but he did lead all tight ends with three red zone targets in Week 1. He turned one of those targets into a touchdown. He will be extremely touchdown dependent, but it looks like they want to get him his chances in the end zone.
