The PGA Tour is back for its second major of the restarted season, and it’s at a classic course. The US Open gets underway on Thursday at Winged Foot Golf Club at Mamaroneck, New York. The tournament gets underway on Thursday, with the first tee times at 6:50 a.m., and will air across Golf Channel and NBC.
Tiger Woods returns to action after a rare three-tournament month of August. He played in the PGA Championship the second week of the month, then in The Northern Trust and BMW Championship the third and fourth weeks as part of the FedExCup Playoffs.
Woods has made the cut in the three events that had a cut, but has scuffled over the weekend. He tied for 40th at the Memorial, tied for 37th at the PGA Championship, tied for 58th at The Northern Trust, and tied for 51st at the BMW Championship.
Woods is playing with Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa on Thursday and Friday. The PGA Tour has not announced the featured groups for the tournament, but it’s safe to say Woods’ group will be in one of them. We have a full list of Thursday tee times, and will have Fridays posted shortly. If you are still tracking Tiger in the majors, this gives you some time to sort out your schedule heading into the weekend.
