Eagles RB Boston Scott heads to locker room, returns late in third quarter

Philadelphia Eagles running back Boston Scott (35) is tackled by Washington Football Team linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (54) during the first half quarter at FedExField.  Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

UPDATE: Scott returned late in the third quarter for a 4th and 4 on the 45, according to reporter Zach Berman.

The Philadelphia Eagles came into their Week 1 game without Miles Sanders, which pushed backup Boston Scott into the starting role. Now, Scott has headed to the locker room to get checked out for a currently undisclosed injury.

Miles Sanders should be back next week, so there isn’t a lot of actionable info here. There’s of course still a chance Scott returns to add some fantasy points, but we’re still waiting on word. He had a nice game going with 10 touches for 51 yards.
