It appears like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will field two star wideouts on Sunday in their season opener against the New Orleans Saints. Mike Evans was in danger of missing the Week 1 matchup with a hamstring injury, but has been cleared to start. He and Chris Godwin could form one of the more dynamic receiving duos in the NFL this year.
Fantasy football analysis: Buccaneers WR Mike Evans
Evans has been one of the better wide receivers in the NFL since his rookie year and has never recorded less than 1,000 receiving yards in a season. He’s tallied at least eight touchdown receptions in four of his six pro seasons. Tom Brady is the best quarterback Evans has ever played with, but having to compete with the emerging Godwin and Rob Grownkowski while dealing with an injury could make him a little less valuable from a fantasy perspective. Godwin is the better play if Evans isn’t at 100 percent.
