What to do with Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton in Week 1 fantasy football

Who is the most talented wide receiver for the Giants? No one knows yet.

It’s not quite to the level of the Saints and Bucs, but the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants could very well end up a high-scoring affair in Jersey for a different reason.

Sterling Shepard battled concussion issues in 2019, but when he was on the field, he looked to be the number one wide receiver for the G-Men, if only be default. But with Shepard and Golden Tate garnering all of the attention it is sophomore Darius Slayton who could emerge among the three as a tier above the rest.

And that all could start Week 1.

Fantasy Football analysis: Giants WR Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton

The Giants host the Pittsburgh Steelers, who were one of the better pass defenses in 2019, but if the Steelers get out to an early lead, the Giants will need to play catch-up.

Shepard is arguably a number one wide receiver on a team that will need to air the ball out if they want a chance to beat the Steelers. Despite a tough matchup on paper, by sheer volume of targets alone, Shepard could have a solid game. Slayton, on the other hand, is likely a player to continue to monitor to see how he can grow in 2020.
