Atlanta’s new tight end, Hayden Hurst, is one of the best DFS bargains at the position this week.

The first week of the 2020 NFL season is underway. Despite one game already in the books, you still have plenty of time to do a little homework and take your best shot at a DFS lineup for Sunday’s game.

If you want to spend big at the other positions, you can save some money and still get a great value at the tight end spot. There are some guys just waiting to go off this week, and they could be yours for less than $5,000 at DraftKings.

Here are the best tight end plays under the $5,000 threshold who could really give your lineup a boost this week.

Hayden Hurst (ATL) - $4,300

After moving on from Austin Hooper during the offseason, the Falcons made a big upgrade to the position with Hurst. Ticketed for an every down role in Atlanta, Matt Ryan is a quarterback who like to get the ball to his tight end. Last season, Hooper had a career high 787 yards and six touchdowns on 75 catches. It helps to have Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley on the outside, demanding attention and setting up Hurst for prime matchups he should easily win. What really makes this a tasty play is that the Seahawks, Atlanta’s opponent this week, gave up plenty of points to tight ends last season.

T.J. Hockenson (DET) - $4,200

A first-round pick who saw his season cut short by an ankle injury last year, Hockenson is healthy and ready to ball out in 2020. He certainly has the chance to do so this week against the Chicago Bears, whose secondary is going to have its hands full with Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones, setting up the sophomore tight end for some favorable matchups.

Rob Gronkowski (TB) - $4,900

Gronk is probably a valued a little too high here, but name recognition counts for something, right? But Tom Brady’s familiarity with the veteran tight end might just be enough to give him some value, especially in the red zone.
