Two unranked lightweights on the precipice of finding the weekly charts are the co-main event of UFC Vegas 10 this Saturday as Ottman Azaitar faces Khama Worthy live from the Apex facility in Las Vegas.
Azaitar enters with a perfect 12-0 mark in the UFC, with 11 of those wins as finishes including nine knockouts. He’s won his only UFC bout so far, a KO of Teemu Packalen on September 7th of 2019 at 3:33 of the first round with this massive punch. After that punch he was forced to serve a 180-day medical suspension for breaking his hand by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The native of Morocco fights out of Cologne, Germany, and landed 27 significant strikes in his only UFC win. Prior to joining the UFC he had won his last four fights all in the Brave Cage Fighting promotion.
Worthy has the somehow-not-copywrited nickname “The Deathstar” and is 16-6 as an MMA professional. He’s won his last seven fights in a row with the last six by finish, including a 2-0 mark since joining the UFC in August of 2019. The 33-year-old from Pittsburgh, PA averages 4.44 significant strikes per minute and has yet to land a takedown in a UFC cage.
