Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has consistently been a top five fantasy tight end in recent years and will be looking to begin yet another top-notch campaign against the Houston Texans on Thursday. He’s been one of Patrick Mahomes’s favorite targets since he won the starting job, and we’ll go over how his potential fantasy football impact for Week 1 here.

Fantasy Football Analysis: Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

Kelce was targeted 136 times in 2019, and no tight end was targeted more than him. While his touchdown reception numbers were down, he led all tight ends in receiving yards (1,229) as well. The Texans have one of the lowest rated pass defenses in the NFL, and Kelce will likely be one of the most productive tight ends in to play in 2020.

Start/Sit Recommendation

Kelce could very well be the top tight end in standard leagues for a third straight year, so start him against a defense that’s struggled to find consistency.
