Slate gets even more crazy with Paul George resting vs. Nets

Clippers SG will take a seat after Kawhi Leonard was the one sitting out on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Clippers will give Paul George the night off Sunday against the Brooklyn Nets for load management. This comes a game after the Clippers sat Kawhi Leonard for some rest. It appears L.A. doesn’t care about seeding the rest of the way and is basically tanking for a certain matchup in the playoffs.

Leonard is not on the injury report and is expected to play. Still, be careful with this game. Monitor things up to lock later on and be sure to check your lineups. The Nets are expected to have Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen and Joe Harris in the lineup after they were listed as doubtful. So it seems the Nets see an opportunity to get another win in the bubble to secure the No. 7 seed in the East and avoid the Milwaukee Bucks.

Fantasy basketball impact

So with PG out and Kawhi back, I still think we look to the rest of the Clippers rotation. Leonard may not play a full work load if Doc Rivers doesn’t see any value in playing him much. So Reggie Jackson ($5,500) and Ivica Zubac ($5,400) can be fired up, as well as Marcus Morris ($4,700) and Landry Shamet ($3,700). All four should get big minutes. I’d play Lou Williams if this were a meaningful game in the regular season, but at $5,300 and on the minutes limit, Lou Will is only a GPP play to me.
