Malcolm Brogdon’s status was questionable ahead of Indiana Pacers’ Thursday matchup with the Phoenix suns because of a neck injury, but the point guard has been upgraded made available according to IndyStar’s J. Michael.
Brogdon is Indiana’s top playmaker and logged more than 30 minutes in each of his last two games after sitting out for the Pacers’ seeding debut. While there’s been no indication that he’ll be on a minutes restriction, he could play less than usual if he deals with discomfort. The Pacers enter Thursday 3-0 in the bubble thanks to T.J. Warren’s ridiculous scoring surge and have been able to get solid contributions from other guards.
Fantasy basketball impact
It’s clear that Warren will continue to carry a large chunk of the offensive workload regardless of Brogdon’s involvement. He’s nearly averaging 40 points per game in the bubble and should be the top DFS play in this matchup.
Aaron Holiday is also worth taking a look at. He’s been thrown into the starting lineup while Domantas Sabonis is out and is averaging more than 35 minutes per game in the bubble. He’s thrived as a secondary distributor and shot the ball efficiently. Holiday should continue to get plenty of exposure at could return significant value at $4,800 on the main slate.
Also, Doug McDermott (McBuckets) won’t be playing because of a knee injury. That just gives you more of a reason to play Warren.
