The Gander RV & Outdoor Truck Series Henry Ford Health System 200 is set to begin Friday at 6:00 p.m. ET. It will run at Michigan International speedway and follow up last weekend’s e.p.t 200 at Kansas. We’ll go over some of the favorites to win below, but first we’ll go over how the starting grid will be determined.
NASCAR continues to not hold traditional qualifying runs due to the Covid-19 pandemic. To cut down on events and attempt to protect health and safety, the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series are using random draws connected to points standings. The Truck Series will use a similar process to the Cup Series, drawing randomly from three groups to figure out spots 1-10, 11-21, and 22-32. Here is how the starting grid will be determined for Saturday’s Buckle Up In Your Truck 225.
- Positions 1-10: Random draw of teams in those positions in owner points
- Positions 11-21: Random draw of teams in those positions in owner points
- Positions 22-32: Random draw of teams in those positions in owner points
- Any vehicles that are eligible for the Event in position 33rd – 40th will be assigned starting positions based on their order of eligibility.
Points leader Austin Hill is favored at +300 on DraftKings Sportsbook. He leads all drivers in top five finishes with five and secured his first win of the season two races ago. He doesn’t have a ton of experience at Michigan, but won his last race there. Christian Eckes has the second best odds at +450, and he’s trailed by Brett Moffitt at +650.
Here’s the full breakdown of the starting grid for the Henry Ford Health System 200.
