An undefeated lightweight prospect making his delayed UFC debut finally gets in the cage when Nasrat Haquarast takes on Alex Munoz at UFC Fight Night this Saturday from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas.

Haquarast is 11-3, 3-2 in the UFC. His last bout was a KO loss to Drew Dober in 70 seconds at UFC 246 in January where he entered as a 3-to-1 favorite and was stunned in the loss. At 24 years old from Kandahar, Afghanistan, he has nine career knockouts and fights out of the Tristar Gym and has been with the UFC since October of 2017. He’s a standup fighter facing a submission specialist, landing 5.25 strikes per minute in his five promotion fights.

Munoz was originally to make his UFC debut in February, but a back injury kept him off the card. He returns this Saturday with a 6-0 career record, with three wins by stoppage. He was a winner at Dana White’s Contender Series in July of 2018, but didn’t earn a contract until now. At 30 years of age from Dallas, he fights out of the Team Alpha Male stable.
