One fantasy football sleeper on each NFL roster

Finding the right sleepers is critical to fantasy football success. We’ve got a look at one sleeper from each roster, courtesy of SB Nation team site experts.

The good folks from around the SBNation team sites have given us their fantasy picks for the 2020 season. They were asked which player from their team would be the best fantasy sleeper, rookie, and potential bust. It’s always interesting to get fantasy perspective from those who cover specific teams, as they are entrenched in the intricacies of their rosters.

Below we have their picks for the best “sleeper” on their respective teams. Whenever I type the word “sleeper” I have to couch it in the fact that there are no sleepers in the age of information overload, but instead, sleepers are players who we think will outplay their perceived fantasy value.

Some of the more interesting picks that we don’t see as often in the fantasy football sphere are tight end Kaden Smith for the Giants, wide receiver Greg Ward for the Eagles, and wide receiver Auden Tate for the Bengals. These are three players who will need to win a starting job to put up fantasy numbers, but are easy adds from the waiver wire in most leagues.

Seeing Darrell Henderson from Turf Show Times is interesting as well. That backfield should have fantasy value with Sean McVay running the show. McVay seems intent on using his backs fluidly, but rookie Cam Akers continues to be the frontrunner in many people’s minds. Henderson has an amazing skill set though and if he can prove himself and take the job, the sky is the limit.

Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor is a player who continues to get a little hype, as he has a strong team around him and a fairly easy schedule. When you add in his rushing ability, he makes for an intriguing pick while he tries to hold off rookie Justin Herbert.

Overall, this is a good list to keep in mind when drafting this season.
