The Carolina Panthers and New York Jets will face off in a Monday Madden sim at 4:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contests centered around the game. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

This is one of those games where betting on Christian McCaffrey ($15,300) at running back. It’s no secret that he does a little bit of everything, and New York doesn’t have any elite defensive stoppers to slow him down. He’s the highest rated running back in the game for a reason and can take over when he gets a reasonable amount of touches.

I suggest staying away from Le’Veon Bell ($12,900) here, as Luke Kuechly is a major deterrent for opposing rushing attacks. The Panthers as as a whole are one of the better defensive teams we’ve seen. Robby Anderson ($13,500) or Jamison Crowder could be interesting wide receiver picks though, as you can get the best of them by avoiding Sam Darnold’s mistakes.

Flex Men

Curtis Samuel ($6,400) is one speedy receiver who could abuse the Jets’ secondary. He and D.J. Moore ($9,600) could both get in behind New York’s defensive backs. Ryan Griffin ($5,600) has quietly been one of the most productive tight ends and could be of use.
