Nikola Jokic scores 21 first quarter points vs. Jazz

Will Nikola Jokic ever miss again? The big man went perfect from the field in the first quarter of Game 5 on Tuesday.

Nikola Jokic might never miss again. The Denver Nuggets center started 8-for-8 from the field in the first quarter of his team’s playoff game against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday and tallied 21 points. The Joker made all five of his three-point attempts while also notching 2 assists and 2 rebounds. At this point, I’m prepared to put him in the GOAT conversation.

Jokic played all 12 minutes in the first quarter and tallied 28.5 DKFP. He leads all players in fantasy points and is on track to score at least 28 points for the fourth time in his last five games.

Jamal Murray is off to a slow start following his 50-point game in Game 4 and has 3 points on 1-of-3 shooting. It’s surprising to see him with so few shots early on, but he’s done most of his work later in games during this series.

Royce O’Neale and Joe Ingles have been surprisingly effective for Utah. Both players are tied with a team-high 8 points.
