Portland Trail Blazers PG Damian Lillard dislocated his finger in Game 2 vs. the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night and was unable to return in the second half. The Blazers were in the midst of a blowout and X-Rays came back negative on the finger, so this could just be a precaution to keep Dame fresh for Game 3 on Saturday. At least that’s what we all hope. This could derail the Blazers upset bid after winning Game 1.

Lillard had been having an off night, but the same can be said about pretty much everyone on the Blazers. He’ll finish Game 2 with 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting, 1-of-7 from long range in 30 minutes. The All-Star would have had a chance to try and drag the Blazers back into the game, but the Lakers’ lead was pretty secure in the fourth. L.A. dominated defensively on the wings.
Lillard dislocated the finger trying to swipe the ball from Anthony Davis during a drive late in the game. It looked bad at the time, but again, it was late in a blowout. If Lillard — please God say it ain’t so — is ruled out for Game 3, the Blazers will need CJ McCollum, Gary Trent Jr. and Carmelo Anthony to step up on offense to carry the load.
