Quarterback

Stud

Drew Brees, NO at CHI, $7,400 — Brees is the most expensive quarterback on this slate and I don’t really care. When it comes to the more expensive options, I want the QB with the best weapons at his disposal and that is by far Brees. He enters this game with an average of 18.2 DKFP, 244.6 passing yards thrown, 80 touchdowns and only nine interceptions.

Value

Mitch Trubisky, CHI vs. NO, $6,000 — Trubisky is your value QB on this slate because quite frankly, he’s the cheapest To be fair, he is one of the best overall values you can find on this slate overall, as you’ll be hard pressed to find a player averaging over 20 DKFP in the $6K range. He’s not a QB you’ll be necessarily pairing a WR with, as he does so much damage on the ground, evidenced by his 50.6 rushing yards per game, but he’s a fantastic salary saving option.

Running Back

Stud

Tevin Coleman, SF at LAR, $6,000 — It’s amazing that Coleman is not the most expensive running back on the slate because of how much production he churns out every game. His 18.8 DKFP per game is higher than most of the quarterbacks on this slate, which makes Coleman one of the best overall plays for your dollar. Entering this game, Colman is now averaging an absurd 103.8 scrimmage yards per game.

Value

Tarik Cohen, CHI vs. NO, $3,900 — If its value you seek, Cohen is one of the better plays on this slate. The amount of work he gets out of the backfield makes him worth it no matter who his opponent is. Cohen is averaging 45 scrimmage yards per game but has an impressive 15 touchdowns to his credit, with seven on the ground and eight through the air. Getting that mix of work is a steal at just $3,900.

Wide Receiver

Stud

Davante Adams, GB at PIT, $7,100 — You can’t go wrong with either of the most expensive WRs on this slate between Adams and Michael Thomas ($7,300). If you’re using Brees, it’s a no-brainer to get Thomas in but I do like Adams a lot in this spot. Adams sees some good volume with 4.4 receptions and 77.6 yards per game with 27 touchdowns scored. I have no doubt Thomas is going to see some massive ownership but Adams is in a good spot himself.

Value

Kendrick Bourne, SF at LAR, $3,600 — If you really want to go deep for some value, Bourne could be your guy against the Rams. Bourne can very much bust on this slate but whatever reason, his touchdown scoring ability is extremely high. For someone who is averaging just 2.7 receptions per game. it’s quite the feat that he’s scored 17 times. If anything, Bourne is going to help you fit some of the other more expensive players in.

Tight End

Stud

Jared Cook, NO at CHI, $5,400 — I hate to keep going with Saints players but the volume that Cook sees is better than anyone on this slate. It’s absurd that Cook is seeing an average of 5.4 receptions per game. He’s not racking up a ton or yards or touchdowns with just 58.8 per game and 16 scores but the number of catches he makes is well worth it. As for your crazy stat for the day? Cook has made 10 catches three separate times this season.

Value

Jimmy Graham, GB at PIT, $4,200 — I’d imagine that Cook and George Kittle ($6,100) are going to dominate the ownership at the tight end position. While Graham doesn’t offer much on a game-to-game basis, he will provide you with low ownership. He’s seen a handful of games in double-digit fantasy territory so it’s not impossible but overall, he’s logging just 2.5 receptions, 30.3 receiving yards and seven touchdowns scored.

DST

Packers DST at PIT, $3,000 — I’m always looking at what defense could generate turnovers on these classic slate and the Packers, although the most expensive, is in the best position. Facing off against Ben Roethlisberger ($6,400) who by far has the most interceptions thrown on this slate at 17, this is a matchup I want exposure to. The Packers D/ST are averaging 5.8 DKFP with 17 interceptions of their own 98 sacks, which is the most on this slate.
