The New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills will face off in a Sunday Madden sim at 4:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contests centered around the game. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.
Captain’s Picks
The Patriots are one of the more difficult teams to pick captains for. Tom Brady ($17,100) is one of the safest picks as New England’s best player and one of Madden’s highest rated players. He can spread the ball around to a plethora of receivers and has posted some ridiculous single-game touchdown pass numbers. Buffalo’s defense is strong all over though and could limit the Patriots’ below average receiving corps.
Buffalo’s Josh Allen ($15,900) can dominate in a different way. His legs make him one of the more dangerous fantasy quarterbacks. He doesn’t have Brady’s accuracy and it could be risky for him to throw against the game’s best defensive back in Stephon Gilmore.
Flex Men
New England isn’t afraid to dink and dunk the ball out of the backfield, and that could help James White ($8,400) be a major difference maker in this game. His hands are top-notch among running backs and he’s managed to be very productive despite splitting carries with Sony Michel.
Phillip Dorsett ($5,200) is an inexpensive speedster who has had some monster games. The matchups he draws shouldn’t be too tough, and his long ball potential helps him make a significant impact with only a few catches.
