The Philadelphia Eagles put on pads this week for the first time in training camp, and they’re already short-handed at the running back position. The team announced before Wednesday’s walkthrough that running back Miles Sanders is week-to-week with a lower body injury and Boston Scott is day-to-day with his own lower body injury.
Non-contact drills: But JJ Arcega-Whiteside & Jason Peters are taking part in walkthroughs.

Corey Clement moves up to first string with Sanders and Scott sidelined. NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo tweeted, “I don’t sense any great concern but he’ll miss some time as the team is making sure players stay as healthy as possible.”
Week 1 is a little over three weeks away, and with no preseason games or official injury designations, we’re left waiting and wondering. Sanders currently has an ADP in the top 20 overall and as RB12. Scott is deeper in the 13th round overall and RB50.
Week-to-week is a concerning designation, but if he turns into day-to-day in the next two weeks, that will offer some reassurance. If you’re drafting right now, it’s reasonable to be wary about drafting Sanders too high. If he slips into the third round, he could be worth a roll of the dice, but with uncertainty surrounding his injury status, it will come down to how much risk you can stomach.
