How the public is betting Clippers vs. Mavericks first-round playoff series

The Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks open their first-round series on Monday, August 17th at 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Clippers claimed the 2-seed in the playoffs, while the Mavericks stayed put at the 7-seed after the seeding round. We’ll take a look at how the public is betting Game 1 of the series and beyond.

With the Clippers looking to be nearly at full-strength, it’s been hard for the public to make any bets on the Mavericks. Montrezl Harrell and Patrick Beverley are both questionable for Game 1. If each of them return at some point in the series, the Clips will be tough to beat. With many banking on Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, 98 percent of the handle is coming in on the Clippers to win the series. Even 86 percent of the bets are on the Clippers. Would it surprise anyone if Luka Doncic went beast mode and lifted the Mavs to a series win? I guess it would.
