The home of stock car racing in America will bring the NASCAR Cup to her pavement today, but this time it’s a bit different. Instead of turning left only on one of the fastest superspeedways in the world, today NASCAR will be using the road course at Daytona International Speedway.

This race was originally scheduled for Watkins Glen, NY, but the quarantine situation couldn’t be worked out with local authorities. So wanting to still have a road race, NASCAR moved it to one of their home tracks and took it to the infield. The track still uses much of the oval, but they’re actually turning right instead of left on it, and the top series has never had a points race on this particular circuit before.

DraftKings has plenty of DFS contests before the green flag drops at 3:00 p.m., and we break down some of the best picks to round out your roster below, and you can set your lineups here.

Modest Sleepers

Aric Almirola ($7,900)

Finished 12th at The Glen and 14th at The Roval last year, meaning he can compete on the road courses. Plus the Tampa native’s familiarity with his car seems to be improving every week. Five Top 10’s in his last six races shows he’s getting closer to the top contenders than the middle of the pack.

Deep Sleepers

Michael McDowell ($7,000)

Not only is the most undervalued driver on the course, but he’s pretty good on road loops too. Finished 16th at Watkins Glen last year, and 12th at the Charlotte Roval. Struggled in his last two races after a season where he’s been overachieving, but getting on a course that forces the driver to go both directions should be helpful.

JH Nemecheck ($6,400)

Has run well at road courses before, picking up a 12th at Watkins Glen and a 7th at Charlotte in the Xfinity Series in 2018. Plus he’s another driver in good form when he’s finishing races. That should be a bit easier today with an infield involved, a the pedigree of the 23-year-old can’t hurt regarding potential track knowledge today.
