UPDATE: Fight day odds and betting splits for Day-Grant
Two bantamweights looking to make their way in the UFC will lift the lid on the UFC 251 card when Martin Day takes on Davey Grant on Fight Island this Saturday evening.
Day lost his only UFC fight so far to Pingyuan Liu in November of 2018 via controversial split decision, and has an 8-3 career record. Injuries forced him to miss two scheduled fights in 2019 against Chris Gutierrez and Benito Lopez, but he now returns looking for his first victory in almost two years. The 31-year-old from Hawai’i has three knockouts and two submission wins on the independent circuit.
Grant has an 11-4 career mark, with a 2-3 record in the UFC. The 34-year-old from Bishop Auckland, England has eight submission wins and a KO, and he looks to get fights on the mat as much as possible averaging 2.64 takedowns per three rounds in the UFC. His last fight was a split decision win over Grigory Popov in November of last year, and he’s never been knocked out or beaten by the judges; all four of his career losses are via tapping out.
Here are the betting odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for Martin Day vs. Davey Grant at UFC 251 on July 11th:
Money line odds
Martin Day: Opened -190, now -177
