The Indianapolis Colts and Atlanta Falcons will face off in a Madden sim Monday at 4:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
T.Y. Hilton ($13,500)
There are going to (most likely) be two very trendy options at Captain. One of them is Devonta Freeman ($13,200) and the other is Hilton. I’m going to lean Hilton despite my guess that his ownership will be higher — if not highest — at Captain. That’s fine because I know that Hilton can rip apart this Falcons secondary and he’s easily the highest ceiling play in this sim Showdown.
Fade of the Game
Marlon Mack ($10,800 CP)
You don’t need to be a DFS expert to figure out that Mack is overpriced. He can’t even average 5.0 fantasy points per simulation. This tells us that not only is his floor incredibly low, but the ceiling is non-existent. Maybe if his numbers were a little higher, we can justify Mack as a contrarian play. That isn’t the case. He’s never going to be a viable play in sim land, unfortunately.
Zach Pascal ($4,600) — As is the case with all of these value picks, we see a wide receiver with upside! Pascal has at least 20+ DKFP in two of his past four simulations. What I love about Pascal is he is pretty much a dice roll. We’ve seen him throw up games under 1.0 fantasy points and we’ve seen him get upwards of 30 DKFP in other matchups. This is a good matchup, so I’m leaning the ceiling is more likely.
Russell Gage ($3,600) — Both Pascal and Gage are pretty underpriced. They’ll both be chalky in the Showdown, not as much in the Classic slate. So with that in mind, we’re going to have to get leverage somewhere else in the lineup. Gage is another pretty risky play, but the upside is just too good to pass up.
