The top two teams in English soccer are in action on Sunday’s EPL slate on DraftKings. Stacking from Liverpool and Manchester City is the obvious strategy, but how? We break it down below.

Forwards

Studs

Mohamed Salah ($10,000)

Salah hit the post early in the game against Manchester City before the tone of the game was set with three first-half goals. It all went awry after that for Liverpool. Back at Anfield, Salah and Liverpool will feel at home again, which will have as big a home-ground impact as possible without spectators.

Values

Riyad Mahrez ($8,900)

Mahrez started on the bench against Liverpool. He did get some time on the pitch and even scored a typically exquisite goal before it was ruled out due to VAR. I suspect manager Pep Guardiola will look to rotate his stars in and out. Considering Mahrez is fresher than some of his colleagues, he should get the start.

Others to consider: Sadio Mane ($9,100)

Midfielders

Studs

Kevin De Bruyne ($10,300)

De Bruyne has not switched off this season, irrespective of whether Manchester City has a shot at the title or not. He scored from the penalty spot against Liverpool after Sterling was pulled down inside the six-yard box. He then paved the way for Phil Foden’s goal with a gorgeous 1-2, typical of Manchester City’s slick passing offense.

Values

Roberto Firmino ($6,700)

Firmino is highly underrated at just $6,700. He forms one-third of arguably the best striking formation in English soccer currently. He has scored eight goals and has also chipped in with seven assists this season. He has been extremely strong in the air, meeting crossed deliveries well before defenders. Another headed goal isn’t far away.

Others to consider: Raheem Sterling ($8,600)

Defenders

Studs

Trent Alexander-Arnold ($7,900)

With all this quality around in the top two teams in English football, it’s Alexander-Arnold who has averaged the second-most fantasy points on this slate (18.3 DKFP). He has been sensational in dead-ball situations, especially with his curling free kicks with a strong right foot. He has aggregated 3 goals and 12 assists in this Premier League season alone.

Values

Federico Fernandez ($3,500)

Newcastle’s preferred modus operandi is a slower style of play. This season, Newcastle has scored just 33 goals but has also conceded just 43 goals. West Ham, on the other hand, has conceded 56 goals in the same period. Even though West Ham beat Chelsea in the previous game, I’d back Fernandez and Newcastle to keep a clean sheet here.

Goalkeepers

Alisson ($5,800)

Liverpool has been the best defensive team in the league, having conceded just 25 goals, comfortably the fewest this season. Liverpool’s defense will be annoyed after conceding four goals to Manchester City and will want to respond with a clean sheet against a team that has struggled for any fluency offensively.

Others to consider: Ederson ($5,900).
