Orlando Magic F Jonathan Isaac returned to the lineup for the first time since early in the 2019-20 season, when he injured his knee and was forced to miss a good chunk of the season. When the pandemic hit, there was hope Isaac would return to the lineup at some point. That time is now.
Isaac played 8 minutes in the first half against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday in the NBA season restart opener for the Magic. He scored 3 points with 2 rebounds and a steal. We’ll be tracking his performance throughout the game, so check back later for more updates.
UPDATE: Isaac only played 4 minutes in the third quarter and it seems he’s on a 4-minute per-quarter type of restriction early on. I mean, the Magic are also destroying the Nets, so there isn’t really any reason to stretch out Isaac in a meaningless game. He’s up to 6 points with 5 rebounds and a steal so far.
Isaac not looking too bad on the break.

UPDATE: Isaac finished the game with 16 points and 6 rebounds in 16 minutes on the court in the Magic’s blowout win over the Nets. It was a strong showing for Isaac in limited time off the bench. We’ll see if Orlando allows Isaac to play more minutes in the next game. At $5,800 on DraftKings, Isaac finished with 26.5 DKFP, which isn’t a bad outing considering low ownership.
