Rain in forecast for Thursday, Friday, Saturday at WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational

We break down the weather forecast for this week’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational in Memphis, Tennessee. There is a lot of rain in the forecast.

UPDATE Thursday 3:54 p.m.: Friday’s tee times have been moved up due to the potential for afternoon rain. Instead of running from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT, they will run from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., according to the PGA Tour.

The PGA Tour is conducting its first World Golf Championship event of the resumed season, and we might already be headed toward a delay. The WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational is scheduled to tee off at 11 a.m. CT in Memphis, Tennessee at TPC Southwind. However, there is a significant amount of rain in the forecast for most of the weekend.

The PGA Tour website offers a look at the weather forecast for the tournament, and it does not look good. Thursday has scattered thunderstorms potentially starting around 4 p.m., and Friday and Saturday have a better than even chance of thunderstorms each day.

The National Weather Service offers its own forecast for the region with some more specifics. Here’s how they break down each day of the tournament:
