The smaller stock car series gets to race on 1.5 miles of midwestern oval as the flag drops on today’s non-title-sponsored NASCAR Xfinity Series Race at Kansas Speedway at 5:00 p.m. ET. Michael Annett will be on the pole for the race that will be broadcast live on NBCSN.
Kansas basketball head coach Bill Self will give the command for drivers to start their engines, and speaking of accused cheaters Kyle Busch was disqualified from the last race in this series during the post-race inspection after taking the checkered flag. He won’t be in today’s field.

Modest Sleepers
Michael Annett ($7,900)
Gets his second straight pole today, and finished sixth last time at the wonderfully named My Bariatric Solutions 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. Has five Top-10 finishes in his last five races, with an average of 36.2 DFS points across those four outings. Ride the hot racer who has been excellent since the series returned from a Covid hiatus.
Brandon Brown ($7,000)
Trending up with an average of 43 DFS points the last two races. Only has one Top 10 this season, but has finished 11th an amazing three times. Starts in 22nd today, so there’s a chance to move up from his starting position, which he’s did from 27th to 13th at Charlotte, and from 19th to 11th at Texas.
Deep Sleepers
Jeffrey Earnhardt ($4,900)
Has put together solid back-to-back races, with a 13th at Texas after starting 21st, and an 18th at Charlotte after starting 29th. Not saying he’s going to win the race, but that’s an average of 38.5 points per week pretty cheap. With him starting 13th today, a non-zero chance he finds his first Top 10 of the season.
David Starr ($4,700)
This isn’t bargain-basement, you’re just dumpster diving here. But Starr made his first post-Covid appearance in the series last week, starting 23rd and finishing 14th for 39 DFS points. In five races this season, he’s averaging 30.4 points. Last week his salary was $4,900, and somehow now he’s even less expensive now despite Kyle Busch not sucking up a spot from somebody. The tracks between Texas and Kansas are similar enough where there’s value here. You can spend a bunch of cash and fill in here if needed.
