The New York Giants and Carolina Panthers will face off in a Tuesday Madden sim at 2:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contests centered around the game. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

Both these teams have do-it-all running backs worth captaining. Christian McCaffrey ($15,000) is one of the few players with a 99 overall rating and is the priciest option in the slate. His speed, agility, juking, and consistent hands make capable of taking over this game, but he’s often a hit-or-miss option. Going with McCaffrey comes with a lot of risk, but he could be worth it. Saquon Barkley ($13,800) is cheaper and has a skill set very similar to McCaffrey’s. He’s been able to reach double-digits more consistently than McCaffrey though, and gives you more flexibility as well.

Flex Men

Although Cam Newton seems like the better quarterback option on paper, Daniel Jones ($9,800) has been far more impressive. He has solid accuracy, underrated mobility, and plenty of option to throw to. Evan Engram, Golden Tate, Darius Slayton, and others are all capable of having big games. Curtis Samuel ($6,400) is a quality speedster worth considering. There’s not a huge difference between him and D.J. Moore ($10,400) in terms of performance, but he’s much more cost effective option.
