The Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles will face off in a Madden sim Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Captain’s Picks
JuJu Smith-Schuster, Steelers ($15,900)
Smith-Schuster gets a nice matchup against a poor Eagles pass defense and has high upside with two 35-plus DK points games over his last 11. He’s also had good consistency with double-digit DK points in 12 of his last 14 games. The last time these teams met in Week 31, Smith-Schuster only had two receptions, but for 75 yards and a touchdown.
FLEX Men
James Washington, Steelers ($5,200)
Washington is risky, but has great upside for his price. The last time he faced the Eagles he caught five passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. I’m leaning on the Steelers passing game with Smith-Schuster as my Captain, but neither pass defense has been especially good in the simulation.
Nelson Agholor, Eagles ($4,800)
Both defenses are strong against the run, which has me focusing on the pass game. Agholor doesn’t have much upside but has topped double-digits in eight of his last 11 games. He makes for a good value play if you’re looking to grab either or both of the quarterbacks.
Carson Wentz, Eagles ($11,200)
Wentz has a 35 to 2 touchdown to interception ratio in 18 home games and averages 19.1 DK points in Philadelphia versus 15.7 DK points on the road. He hasn’t been putting up very good numbers of late, but he still has good upside in this one.
