The Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys will face off in a Madden simulation Sunday at 6 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Captain’s Pick
Amari Cooper ($12,600)
Cooper only averages three receptions for 49.4 yards at home, but does have 12 touchdowns in 19 games. He had six receptions for 62 yards the last time these teams met in Minnesota. Tack a touchdown onto that game and we’re cooking with gas.
Flex options
Dak Prescott ($10,600)
Prescott had a nice 69 yards rushing the last time these teams met and has decent upside due to his legs. He’s topped 20 DK points in four of his last six games, but he hasn’t had much consistency of late. Hoping for a good connection with Cooper at home in this matchup.
Dalvin Cook, Vikings ($9,600)
Cook has been a good player in the simulation. He’s been especially good on the road, where he averages 94.3 yards and has 18 touchdowns in 19 road games. In their last matchup, he had 87 rushing yards and a touchdown. If I switch up the Captain, I expect Cook will be my next choice.
Jason Witten, Cowboys ($6,200)
There aren’t a lot of strong value plays in this matchup, but Witten has good upside for his price. He is quite inconsistent, but did have one of his better games against the Vikings in their last matchup. He caught 11 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown in that game.
