Two UFC newcomers in a wide open flyweight division look to begin their careers with a victory as Malcolm Gordon takes on Amir Albazi on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night on ESPN July 18th from “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi.

Gordon comes to the bigger promotion after most of his recent fights being in TKO Major League where he was their champion. He’s got a 12-3 MMA record and is on a three-fight win streak. The 30-year-old from London, Ontario, Canada has 10 stoppage wins, four via knockout and six via submission. His highlight video shows he likes to armbar people.

Albazi is 12-1 and joins after a stint in the Brave Cage Fighting promotion. The Swede is a part of the London Shootfighters stable, and has 11 stoppages wins himself, seven via submission. His highlight video is submission intensive as well, but uses worse editing software and has poorer resolution.
