Roman Dolidze is an up-and-coming light heavyweight fighter who will get to test his skills this weekend against a fighter looking for his first UFC win in Khadis Ibragimov. The two face of Saturday on UFC’s Fight Island as part of the UFC Fight Night festivities.
Dolidze hasn’t fought since December of 2018, but is a perfect 6-0 for his career and all of his wins are via stoppage with three submissions and notched three knockouts. The 32-year-old is a grappling from the nation of Georgia, competing in the World Warriors Fighting Championship. He served a one-year suspension for PED’s that ended in March of this year, and is now eligible to make his UFC debut.
Ibragimov kicked off his UFC career with a 6-0 start like Dolidze, but ended 2019 with two straight defeats and is looking to get back on track. His overall record is 8-2, and his last two losses were a result of him not being able to compete with his opponent on the ground, as both Da Un Jung and Ed Herman beat him there. Dolidze is an accomplished wrestler capable of taking advantage of that weakness, though Ibragimov has executed three takedowns in his brief UFC career.
