Two featherweights with some talent to grow look to crack the Top 15 of the rankings with Ricardo Ramos taking on Lerone Murphy at UFC on ESPN 13 tomorrow from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

DraftKings DFS Salaries

Ricardo Ramos: $8,800
Lerone Murphy: $7,400

Ramos checks in as the favorite on the money line at -162, with Murphy at +130.

Ramos is 14-2 overall, and 5-1 with two stoppage wins in the UFC. The 24-year-old Brazilian does most of his damage on the mat at a BJJ practitioner, with only 3.05 strikes per minute landed, but 2.13 takedowns per 15 minutes with 64% accuracy while in the black octagon. He’s averaged 68.4 DFS points per fight in the UFC so far.

Murphy is 8-0-1 with the draw being his only UFC fight so far, a split decision against Zubaira Tukhugov last September. The Stockport, England trains out of the All Powers Gym in that city, and at 28 years of age has a stiff challenge. He landed just 28 strikes in his only UFC fight, and was also taken down six times.

Ramos’s mat skills might translate well here, and if he can shoot early and put this on the mat that might mean points. But DFS scoring certainly favors strikers, so a punt on Ramos will be in hopes he can submit his less-experienced opponent. That would seem to be the angle if you’re looking at this fight for your roster, with more fight experience needed by Murphy to put an accurate grade on his long-term talent.
