The MLS is Back tournament is underway in Orlando, Florida, and last year’s champs are set to play in their first game since March on Friday. The Seattle Sounders have a matchup with the San Jose Earthquakes at 9:00 p.m. ET. DraftKings Sportsbook has the betting splits for the match available, and we’ll go over those here.
The Sounders played two games in March and tallied one win and one tie before the season was halted because of the Covid-19 pandemic. They are favored to win at +108 and have gotten plenty of production from their top scorers so far. Raul Ruidiaz and Jordan Morris have combined for three goals. However, Seattle’s defense also gave up a ton of goals last year.
The Earthquakes are winless this year have scored four goals and conceded seven. Last year’s top scorer Chris Wondolowski has a goose egg in the goal column right now, but has the tools to be a major factor when play resumes. San Jose’s odds to win are set at +220. Don’t count them out though, as we’ve already seen Orlando City upset Inter Miami in the bubble.
Despite the neutral playing field, the public favors the Sounders by a wide margin. Seattle commands 96 percent of the handle and 96 percent of the the total bets. The Earthquakes, on the other hand, account for 2 percent of the handle and total bets. The remaining 2 percent of the handle and total bets are on a draw (+270).
