MLS is set to return to play in Orlando early on in July, but . Six FC Dallas players tested positive for Covid-19, MLS announced Wednesday.

Two players tested positive upon arrival at their host hotel in Florida while an additional four tested positive over the course of the last four days. The players who tested positive have been isolated from their teammates and other MLS clubs and staff and will receive remote care during quarantine.

FC Dallas released a statement claiming that all its players tested negative before traveling to Florida for the tournament. It promised to provide relevant updates on the situation when available and did not identify the players affected by the virus.

Although members of the MLS delegation and other clubs have had zero contact with Dallas’ personnel, these positive tests don’t bode well for a 26-team tournament that’s set to begin in one week.
