Modest sleeper and deep sleeper options to consider for NASCAR DFS at Atlanta today

We break down some sleepers and some deep sleepers today’s Folds of Honor Quik Trip 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

One of the best venues in American sports is home to today’s NASCAR calendar. Though the fans won’t be there, you can still get your bets down for the Folds of Honor Quik Trip 500 today at 3:00 p.m. ET on Fox. DraftKings has plenty of DFS contests going for the race, and we break down some of the best picks to round out your roster below, and you can set your lineups here.

Modest Sleepers

William Byron ($7,900)

Some pretty bad luck this year combined with all of the races taking place on tracks instead of the internet has hurt Byron, but he still runs well. Will start 20th today, but has averaged 38 points in each of the last four races anyway. If he can stay clean, he should best that today.

Aric Almirola ($6,800)

Struggles when he starts in the back of the field, but is pretty good when he’s up top. He begins today on the outside pole, and five of the nine races this year when he’s started in the Top 10 he’s finished there too. Clean air is really going to matter today, and he should have a lot of it. Despite a bad performance at Bristol starting in the two hole due to a wreck, he still added 22 fastest laps.

Deep Sleepers

John H Nemechek ($6,000)

Atlanta is a track where stars perform well, so it’s real tough to find value down the board. But Nemechek has finished 13th the last two races, and has put up at least three fastest laps in the last four races. Averaging a smidge under 34 points a race in the last three outings, he’s as good as any cheap driver out there. He starts 18th today, and when he did that last week he ended up 13th with 38 points.

Chris Buescher ($5,900)

Consistently improves on track position both at Bristol and in the main field. Picked up 45 points and then 31 points in his last two races before the Alsco 500, where he lost 11 spots, and then four at Food City at Bristol. He starts 13th today, and if he was at the top of the card you’d be in trouble, but he’s the best option in the bottom third of the field.
