The San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns will face off in a Madden sim Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Tevin Coleman ($11,700)
If this were an actual NFL season and we mapped it out for 16 games, Coleman would likely finish as a top 5 RB overall. Hell, he’d maybe be top 5 overall. I don’t know. We don’t have that kind of info. We can only make speculative claims to try and sell you guys on using Coleman as a Captain. It’s legit though, just go look at the type of damage he’s doing. Hitting the 100-yard bonus in almost half his sims.
Player to Fade
Jarvis Landry ($9,600)
I always say don’t fade anyone in these Madden sim contests. There’s always a chance — even for a guy like Landry — to go absolutely nuts in this format. Still, it’s hard to like what Landry’s been putting up and the Niners have a tough secondary. Landry has been fine; he throws up double-digit DKFP most of the time. The issue is his upside, which is lacking. Because of that, I don’t like him as the CP. He’s an OK FLEX play.
I might as well rename this the “Cheap WRs that are the best values” section. Here we are again, highlighting some cheap WRs. Nothing new here. So Kendrick Bourne ($4,600) and Damion Ratley ($4,200) are both flirting with 10 DKFP per simulation. If they get to that mark, we have 2x salary value. Bourne is a fantastic floor play with double-digit DKFP in four straight games. Ratley isn’t as consistent, so more risk, though you get that at a slight discount.
