A middleweight fight was been called off and put back on again despite a coronavirus testing issue looks to be happening, and Ian Heinisch will face Gerald Meerschaert tonight at UFC 250. But is there DFS value in these fighters?

DraftKings DFS Values

Ian Heinisch: $8,400
Gerald Meerschaert: $7,800

Heinisch is 13-3 as an MMA professional, but has dropped his last two fights via unanimous decision. The 31-year-old out of Highlands Ranch, Colorado has six stoppages and seven decision wins in his career, but more importantly for fantasy has a 59% takedown defense ratio. He’s still ranked #13 in the middleweight division.

Meerschaert has a 31-12 record, with a whopping 23 of his wins via submission. He’s got a 43% takedown accuracy mark since joining the UFC in December of 2016, and will have a five-inch reach advantage on Heinisch.

If there’s fantasy value to be had, it’s for sure in the slight underdog Meerschaert. He’s +105 to win on the moneyline, but if he does win it will very likely be by submission. And finding a stoppage win from someone on the bottom half of the salary cap roster can be the key to winning in MMA DFS. You’ll just need this to be the right fight.
