Update, 3:30 pm: We’ve got updated DraftKings Sportsbook betting splits for Garbrandt-Assuncao money line odds a few hours before UFC 250 gets going. 62 percent of handle and 65 percent of bets are on Garbrandt, who is a -148 favorite on fight day. Assuncao sits at +120.
Bettors are big believers that Cody Garbrandt can get his first MMA victory since December of 2016 tonight over Raphael Assuncao tonight at UFC 250.
When Garbrandt beat Dominick Cruz for the bantamweight championship 42 months ago, his future in UFC seemed limitless. Back-to-back losses to TJ Dillashaw changed that, and then another upset loss to Pedro Munhoz in March of last year made a formerly undefeated fighter 18-0 now winless during the Trump administration.
But bettors still think he’s still got knockout power, with 39% of the handle and bets on him to end it with Assuncao early via KO or TKO at +165. The Brazilian has dropped his last two fights, but has 14 stoppages in his 27 career wins.
