The NHL is finalizing plans for its two hub cities, but the latest report has the league going with Las Vegas and Toronto.

The NHL is finalizing its decision on the two hub cities for the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and Las Vegas and Toronto are expected to be the choices, according to The Athletic’s Arthur Staple. The Western Conference teams would go to Las Vegas, while the Eastern Conference teams would go to Toronto.

The league started with ten cities contending, and were down to five after Vancouver was dropped from the list. There were questions about playing in Canada given the country’s 14-day quarantine for foreign visitors, but it would appear the government and the NHL were able to sort out the issue.

Training camp is set to start on July 10th, with the season starting at the bend of July or early August depending on how Covid-19 testing results develop in the coming weeks. There is no word yet on where the Stanley Cup Finals will be held between the two cities.
