The Lotte Giants and KIA Tigers are will be the teams featured in Thursday’s Showdown contests on DraftKings at 5:30 a.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2, and we break down the ideal lineup strategy below. You can play here.

Captain’s Picks

Preston Tucker, OF, KIA Tigers: $15,900

Tucker has the third most home runs (7) in the KBO and leads the league in RBIs 28 while batting .330. He’s only struck out 13 times in 114 plate appearances, so I like his odds of making an impact. He puts the ball in play and has serious power. Both of those things are important when picking a captain with high upside.

Sun Bin Kim, SS, KIA Tigers: $12,300

Kim bats second in the order and has a .359 average with .438 OBP. His ceiling isn’t as high as Tucker’s but he gets plenty of opportunities and strikes out at a comparable rate. Jim has reached double-digits in fantasy points in three of his last four games

Utility Picks

Ho Ryung Kim, OF, KIA Tigers: $6,200

Kim has stepped into the starting lineup recently as a leadoff hitter and has thrived at the top of the order by tallying fie hits and five RBIs in eight at-bats. He doesn’t have a large sample size to pull from after recovering from a back injury, but he’s provided a spark so far.

Ah Seop Son, OF, Lotte Giants: $7,400

Son has been walked more times (20) than every player in the KBO but the Kiwoom Heroes’ Ha Seong Kim. His OBP (.453) is top notch and so is his batting average (.322). His ability to get on base has helped him score 20 runs this season.
