Welcome to the 2020 MLB season! It’s here? Well, a version of baseball is hopefully here for 60 regular season games. There’s still a month to go until the first games are played which is plenty of time for the earth to be taken over by the Bearded Boar-men of Boarington Way Galaxy. But, we will continue to act like baseball and more importantly, fantasy baseball will happen.

A 60 game season with players possibly missing time due to being quarantined, could be a huge dumpster barge fire. But here at DraftKings Nation, we are the positive, happy people! Let’s do this thing!

Never reach for relief pitchers. It’s an old adage but doesn’t always hit home. There will always be some stud relievers that if they repeat their previous season, you’re sitting pretty, but injuries and regression are always going to be a problem for relievers and you can find cheap saves without much trouble if you’re working your waiver wire. And with a shortened re-do of spring training and regular season, we’ll likely see some interesting relievers come into play, as any slump could get a reliever benched.

If you’re worried about a relievers peripherals, don’t be. We want saves and if your closer of the day gets blown up, you take it and keep working waivers. Grabbing pitchers like Mark Melancon, Giovanny Gallegos, Seth Lugo, Brandon Kintzler, Scott Oberg, Ryan Pressly, James Karinchak, Emilo Pagan, Diego Castillo, Ross Stripling, Chad Green and Matt Barnes are good ways to get strong players with upside for saves if given the opportunity.
